Our history of visiting the Enchantments (38 years in a row) can be related to our relationship with Bill and Peg Stark, our Enchantment Mountain Grandparents. Greg first met the Starks while working at their Scottish Lakes High Camp located on McCue Ridge in the winter of 1980. Later he introduced me to the Starks and all their stories and rich history of the Enchantments. In 1983 before we were married, we made our first trip up the Snow Lakes Trail/Nada Creek Headwall & Rat Lakes route. That was the start of sixty years of either a Stark or a Shannon being in the Enchantments during Golden Week. These trips became a yearly event/pilgrimage important to our mental and spiritual health.
